Would you like to help out, but aren't quite ready to adopt? There are countless ways to make a difference! You must be over 18 to volunteer.
You can volunteer to walk the dogs or play with them one-on-one in our Meet & Greet 'park'! (Dog walkers are required to attend an orientation class first.)
You can 'cat-sit' in our new 'Meow Manor', 'Mini-Manor' or 'Kitten Kaboodle'. Enjoy the love and affection of the most wonderful felines in their new habitats! You can pet, cuddle and play with the kitties to your hearts' content!
Clerical help is always welcome, especially during our vaccination clinics weekday afternoons.
Laundry Aides are needed too - desperately!
Girl Scouts looking for a service project? Local Scouts have hosted "Shelter Showers" to collect needed items, sewn fleece pads for our animals, and hosted our special events. There are so many ways to assist. (Please call and ask for Pat for more information.)
You can 'Buy A Bed' for a dog! We want to ensure that every dog in our care has a bed to call his/her own. The beds we are purchasing are specifically designed for shelter use and cost $70 each. (If you'd like to have a bed purchased in your name, just earmark your monetary donation 'dog bed'.) Our goal is 70 beds.
'Sewers' are also needed! Help us sew mini-blankets out of polar fleece fabric. (We have a sewing machine at the shelter!)
