Meg is a serene 3 1/2 year old girl with a striking tortoiseshell fur coat of dramatic black with orange and gold markings.  She is a little on the shy side with new visitors, but with a little time, and a calm approach, she welcomes the gentle stroking of her silky coat. Once she knows you, she loves to sit on a lap and be petted and brushed.  She will even roll over and ask for belly rubs.  Her beautiful pale green eyes invite attention and love.   Meg chases the laser dot and particularly likes feathery things to fly around to bat at.  Meg came to the shelter as a kitten in 2013, with her brother, Edgar.  The staff and volunteers believe she and Edgar had been overlooked because their calm natures allowed the younger and newer cats demand the attention.  Edgar was just adopted a couple of months ago, making an easy transition to home life, and we believe it is now Meg’s turn to enter the next stage of her life with a forever family to give her the love she deserves.   Meg is named after the oldest daughter in Little Women who married a poor man for love. Like that character Meg doesn’t need riches. She will be content to have a lap and be surrounded by love. In the folklore of many cultures, such as the Irish and Scottish, cats with tortoiseshell coloring are believed to bring good luck.   Please come to Mini Manor to meet Meg, and consider if she can be a lucky charm to your home.

Meg’s  adoption fee is $99 and includes spay surgery, vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness exam at a participating veterinarian. Feel free to call us at (626) 286-1159 for more information on this photogenic gal.

To arrange a ‘Meet and Greet’ with Meg,  please stop by any time from 10:30am to 4:30pm Tuesday through Sunday.
